I decided to start a new rubric — PolymetalUX.

Here I will write short notes about features that we implemented at Polymetal International corporate website. They may not always be noticeable, most often — not our invention, but it seems to me, any little thing can both improve and worsen the perception of the site. But we want the visitors to be happy and no one left offended ))

So, today about the 404 page. You usually get to it if something went wrong. For example, I saved an address somewhere, but there were changes on the site, and there is nothing else at this address. The standard placeholder is “404, page not found”.

We decided to make this dead end more useful.

· From 404 page you can go to the main page

· Site search engine is available

· User is able to inform us that something went wrong

· And entertain yourself scrolling through the history in pictures, which tells a little about the company and provides links to key projects.

All content is linked to the CMS, that is, the administrator can edit text and photos without involving the site’s support service.

Want to see it by yourself? Type some nonsense in the URL or use the direct link:

https://www.polymetalinternational.com/en/404

P.S. And yes, all pages are mobile friendly.
